IKEA Kids

For the Branding course, we had a fictional assignment about IKEA. We had to design a new IKEA store that could be located in the centre of Tilburg's shopping centre. The store had to have a theme. I chose a store especially for children called IKEA Kids.

The assignment required us to create various communications. I created a social media campaign, a leaflet and a gift box.

For the social media campaign, I created three Instagram posts and came up with captions for them. Naturally, the posts were inspired by how IKEA itself creates its social media posts.

For the leaflet, I looked at IKEA's house style, but I found many parts of the normal leaflets a little too mature and not suitable for my target group. That's why I opted for a more childlike approach. I included all the information about the product range, the opening of the store, etc. But I also added something fun for the children, namely a colouring page. This made the leaflet more appealing to children.

I didn't want to go for a basic design for the gift box. I therefore chose to focus 100% on children here too. I came up with the idea of making the gift box into a house theme, so that when children open it, there is also an inside. This way, they can also play with the gift box.
